presently i am in mysore i am thinking of visiying munnar alleppy kochi and ooty and kodaikanal plz give advices or suggestions

I am planning to visit Munnar, Kerala from 24th August to 29th August, 09. How will be the whether, as per histry, during that period ? How will rain during that period ? Will this time be correct and fomfortable for visit to Munnar ?

I planned to visit munnar with my wife on july 10th.We will come to cochin by flight and stay in cochin for 1 day.Next day we will go to munnar by car and stay there for 2 days.On 13th we will proceed to alleppey and stay there in house boat for 1 day.On 14th we will reach cochin airport.

I came to know that july is rainy season in munnar.I already booked tickets for my travel.Also paid for the package.Please let me know How it will be in munnar during my trip..We will have a car from day 1 to day 4 with us during our trip.

Please reply me as soon as possible..I'm much worried about my trip :(

I am planning to visit Munnar & Thekkady between July 25 -30. Can any one advise whther this is right time to go? The resort guys explained that the rainy season will be over by this time.

I am planning to visit Munnar with my wife on my Fist wedding Anniversary in 2nd week of July for 4 days frmo Bangalore. Main Moto is to relax & enjoy not to visit many places.
I am thinking to reach Cochin in the morning by Train & from there take package tour to avoid tiring overnight bus journey. 2 night stay in munnar & one in House boat.

Can you please help me answering my following query.

1. Is it the good time to visit Munnar in July.
2. is my plan is correct or it can be changed in better way for 4 days munnar tour.
1st Day by evening we will reach Munnar. morning we will reach Cochin & then from thr Munnar. Night stay in Munnar.
2nd Day Munnar site seeing & night stay in munnar.
3rd Day leave to allapey for House boat & night stay in House Boat.
4th Day Reach Cochin & catch night Train to Bangalore.

3. Will 2 nights & one day will be enough to Visit Munnar or do i need to extend my tour one one more day.

4. Will it be good to go thru Travel agent or book the resort & taxi from own.
5. Any idea about Blackberry hill resort or any other better 3 star resort. Mahindra club is beyon our budget.

6. One Travel agent is asking for 18200 Rs for my trip including accommodation with breakfast, all meals in the houseboat and ac car for Balckberry Hills. Is it worth to pay for this 4 days trip.

im thinking of visiting munnar for a week in november,as i would probs be flying in to cochin,can anyone give me an idea of the price,and length of time (to get to munnAR) of an air con taxi for wife and i and suitcases from cochin to munnar,AND ANY OTHER ADVICE,THANKS

iam not sure of how to visit the this place, so iam planning to go with a package tour operator which would allow me to go to munnar and houseboat.
which operator would be good to go with or is it better to go directly by booking in advance the hotels and houseboat.

Kindly let me know, is there any bus(no personla cab) available in early morning from munnar to bangalore,reaches bangalore 7-8:00 PM? I want to catch connecting train from bangalore to hyderabad @ 9:00 PM clock.This will let me to join my office in time at hyderabad.

I would like to get information about good and affordable dormitory accommodation in munnar......we plan to visit there on a 2 day trip on the 7 and 8 of this month...we include a team of 40 students.......Kindly give us information on the above as soon as possible since time is limited............

Anyone stayed at the Jungle holiday resort in Munnar? We have a booking for a family of 6 people for 2 days done by an acquaintance in Munnar!

I would be travelling to Munnar this week, but something has come up at the last minute that requires internet access for about 30 minutes on Monday evening. I'm scheduled to stay at a place called Las Palmas hotel.

Anyone know whether there are internet browsing / ISD calling services in Munnar Town? Would be grateful for any information.

(According to the hotel/travel agent, Munnar Town is about 5 kms from the hotel). The hotel does not have international calling / business center apparently.

i would like to know of any nice hotels in munnar town or walkable distance from the town. we would not like to hire a vehicle each time we want to go into town. hotels should be 3 star or above.

We are grop of eight people planning for munnar trip in July first week. We have selected the hotel as Forest Haven Resort.
Located in - Vattiyar PO, Mankulam Road, Kallar,Munar. Its located 15-18 km away from munnar city in thick forest. Please let me know what are the places can be visited in two days. also the best route for sight seeing(from banglaore). Many susgest two routes (1. coimbatoer- pollachi-udumalai-munnar and 2 - Thekadi route). Please suggest me the best to make this trip sucess since we are beginers.

I've recieved a free stay coupon from Mahindra Resort which I can avail between 15th July to 30th Sept. I can choose any one of these places - Munnar, Binsar, Manali & Mussorie. I stay in Pune. Please suggest which option will be best & what dates should I choose for the journey?

Has anyone from VT experienced villas/ guest houses rented out on a self catering arrangement in Munnar?

I am willing to pay upto £200/ week and have plans to go as a big family initially with my parents and wife, but for the weekend more family members(6) will join us.

Am I being unrealistic in expecting something for £200/ week to accomodate upto 10 people for 2 days (would be okay to share rooms and floor), but mainly 4 members for the rest of the stay.

Also, I am expecting monsoon rains in June...is it too bad, that I should reconsider?

Me and my husband are planning a 3 day trip in Munnar. We have a 2 yr old extremely active kid, so, we aren't looking for extensive travel/sightseeing.. We need some hotel which would have a garden/lawn where she can just run around and play.. Our travel agent suggests hotel Deshadan, but, I am not able to find sufficient reviews for the same..

Are there are only overnight buses from Munnar to Trivandrum, or are there early morning departures as well?

I have a 7pm flight from Trivandrum on Friday and want to spend 2/3 days in Munnar before it. If I have to leave on an overnight bus on Thursday night, it won't be worth coming to Munnar.

Be very grateful if anyone can help me with this.

My travel agent tells meto go to thekkady(2 days) from Cochin Airport 1st , then to Kumarakom(2 days), then on to Munnar(2days).This is due to the hotels that i need being unavaliable for a thekkady-munnar-kumarkom trip as is normally done. is it ok??

I am planning my trip to Kodai-Munnar-Thekkady. starting destination Mumbai. Pl. let me know the sequence in which to cover the above -3- places. If i take a train fm Mumbai to Madurai...then proceed to Kodai n take a halt of 3 days...then which place should i proceed munnar or thekkady....how much time by road...pl..guide me as to simplify the hectic time involved in travelling...

We chose Munnar as our honeymoon destination. I need some guidance regarding Resorts, House Boats and Tree houses. I invite the past honeymooners to Munnar to suggest us on,

1. The Resorts for honeymooners where there is ample privacy,excellent view,reasonably comfortable. In short which resort is the Best for honeymooners.

2. About Houseboats, I understand the house boat ride would be for longer hours. How safe are they? both from water and from locals.

3. Tree House: I also want to expereince this tree house which is unique. Did any ony stayed in Tree house, if so, please let me know how far these are from the town? Is staying a night or two in a tree house safe for honeymooners?
