Wondering if anybody can suggest a nice hotel in Connought Place? I am a woman travelling alone...arriving at 1:30am. I am looking for a reliable hotel to arrange pick up from airport. Any feedback is appreciated.

We will be arriving in New Delhi on a Monday evening and by the time we have picked up luggage and cleared customs it will be 10:30 or 11PM local time. Will there be a currency exchange open then, and are traveller's checks or U.S. cash preferred? Thanks.

Can anyone recommend a decent budget hotel near New Delhi station. Are there any first class waiting rooms at the station and would you recommend them for an overnight stay for a family.

Hi.. i will be in Delhi in the next week with my family and i have onward journeys to mumbai,goa.. Im staying in Grand sartaj hotel in a place called Aurobindo Marg. I have only one and a half day to see Delhi.They say the hotel is near Qutub minar and lotus temple. I just want to plan my sightseeing(places to see in the evenings and day)We arrive on one evening,stay for the full next day and depart the day after.Is is advisable to hire a taxi for a day or make instant arrangments?

I'm landing in Delhi next week, and would like to buy a cheap cell phone. I've rented SIM cards in the past, but my current phone (Sprint) doesn't use SIM's. Any advice on prices, and where I can go to shop. I'm looking for a basic phone, I don't mind a used one, and want to spend less than $100.00 USD.

hi, I will be in Delhi for a couple of days next week. I am looking at booking a Bugdet hotel (Pahar ganj Area), one I looked is Start Paradise, Star Palace (They seem to have a fe hotels in their Star Group) Anyone stayed there? Is it safe at night?

I would like to be close to the railway station. Any recommendations?

The last time I was in Delhi I was in Karol Bagh. But only for a day.

What is the average price to hire a car and driver for the following trip? Delhi to Agra stay over-night. Agra to Jaipur Stay over-night. Jaipur to Delhi. The driver will also take me to all the sights and wait for me. Do I have to pay for his accomodation or does he take care of that himself. What about meals -- do I pay or does he pay? Prices in US dollars please.

I'm thinking of travelling to India in July this year, taking in the 'Golden triangle' route of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. I have, however, heard that that monsoon season is around July, and this can make things difficult. Is this the case, and if so, would it be worthwhile attempting to do this trip during this time?

Hi - I'm going to be arriving early in the morning on 3/3, and I'm looking to explore some of the nightlife. I've seen some clubs listed, but I'm concerned I'm not going to be able to get into any of them without a girl on my arm. Are there places that will let a white guy in without a girl? If push comes to shove, I figure I can probably recruit a girl in line to walk in with me. Any recommendatons? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for nightclubs/lounges on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings? Thanks!

Does anyone have suggestions on a tour company to use for a day trip to Agra for 10 people? We would like to take the fast train to Agra and return to Delhi later that night. Ideally, we would like a package that is reasonablly priced and includes roundtrip transportation to Agra, lunch and dinner and an English speaking guide.

2. Deluxe Godwin hotel.

From what I guage they seem reasonable/GOOD for around 2000Rs per night.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for good,clean accommodation.

We only have roughly 2 hours to get from the Airport to the Railway Station.
Is that even possible? How long will it take us (during the week, between 5pm and 7pm)?
Taxi is probably the fastest way, right?
