Hi, I plan to visit Udagamandalam (Ooty) during the winter season (would like to experience the cold weather). Could you please advice when is the coldest period to visit Ooty.
Just a small confirmation...it does not snow during winter in Ooty right? Thanks for all the answers. |

We want to go to kabini river lodge. We will be visiting Coimbatore,Ooty and Coonoor. How far is Kabini from Ooty? Do we have to go to Mysore to go to Kabini? How good is Ooty,Guadalur,Kalpetta road? Can we take that road to go to kabini?

(1) Is it possible to do day trip to Madumalai forest from Ooty. Is it possbile to go down to Madumalai in the morning from Ooty , do jungle safari & come back to Ooty by late afternoon? Is it worth visiting?
(2) People tell me that Ooty has become very commercialised and coonoor is much better. I plan to spend 5 days at Ooty and 2 days at coonoor? Will it be too much? Our group has kids as well as senior citizens. (3) Any opinion about club Mahindra's Danish Villa? (4) Any opinion about Kurumba Village resort at Coonoor? |

How long it takes toy train to go to Coonoor from Ooty? I believe there are no toilets on this train? Is it true? Are there different classes like first/second on this train or is it all same? Can we buy tickets for this train from indian railway website?

Can anyone tell me how I can go about booking tickets on the Blue Mountain Express?
I would like to travel on this train between Coonoor and Ooty. And would like to book tickets in advance. Alos any information about timings ie, what time it arrives in Coonoor and leaves to Ooty. |
