Hello,

I am planning a trip to Hong Kong and as a Bruce Lee admirer I would like to pay respects to his father's grave and mother's grave.

Does anyone know the name of the cemetary they are buried at and also if they are buried in Kowloon?

Sincerely,

Kowloon Public Bus from Royal Plaza Hotel
Posted: Mon February 18, 2008 01:28 AM UTC
Anyone knows where are the bus stops nearest to Royal Plaza Hotel in Mongkok?

There is a bus station nearby adjacent Grand Century Plaza. What is the name of that terminal? Any idea if it is easier to catch buses around the city, ie HK Island, Tsim Sha Tsui, Lantau, etc

Wanted to explore bus ride as walking may be not the easiest option.

Thanks

Kowloon Getting to KCR Station from HK Airport
Posted: Sat February 16, 2008 12:43 PM UTC
From Hong Kong Airport, I will need to get to Shenzhen via KCR.

Can I take A21 to Hung Hom Station and transfer to the KCR. Is the bus terminal at the KCR Station? How long will it take?

Alternatively, can I take the Airport Express Train to Kowloon and transfer to the Kowloon KCR Station? How far is the 2 stations?

Likewise, on my return leg from Royal Plaza Hotel Mongkok, how to I get to the Hong Kong Airport? Any bus or cheap alternative than taxi?

Can I have some sensing how much would a taxi ride have cost from Royal Plaza to the airport and vice versa?

Thanks!

Kowloon Cash/Cards & ATM's Oh my...
Posted: Fri December 14, 2007 07:47 AM UTC
I will be in HK for just 4 days as a side trip. My question is generally what's the best way to handle currency since I am from the US. Should I pay using my card where possible and have cash on hand for those other instances.
And what about vendors they usually only take cash correct? What's the availability of ATM's? Any help is appreciated.

Kowloon Hotel Accommodation in Kowloon
Posted: Mon May 21, 2007 08:01 AM UTC
Hi VTs, my wife and I will be visiting Kowloon for two nights from Feb.26-28, 2008.Being our first time, an early posting with great advices from VTs will greatly assist in our trip planning.

We will arrive into Kowloon from Macau at the China Ferry Terminal(CFT).

Firstly, assistance with accommodation much appreciated.Our preference criteria:-
i). close proximity (within 10minutes distant by walking) to MTR stations;
ii). Safety /minimal noise disruption(i.e. not close to any ongoing construction sites);
(iii). Friendly/Courteous hotel staff;
(iv). Room/Hotel facilities- basically since we will be out most of the time-just require a comfortable hotel room of reasonable size,with breakfast provided, hot water c/w shower.
(v). Walking proximity or easily accessible with MTR to inexpensive eateries.

We have few hotels on the list- Kimberley, PArk, Renaissance, Marco Polo Prince, Regal, BP International, Royal Pacific, Stanford HillView, Nathan Hotel.
As rates will vary from hotels' website or third party websites and also time of booking; we are looking at a budget of HKD500-600 nett/night with breakfast for two included.

We welcome other suggestions from VTs from their previous staying experience.

Also your kind advise on transfer (to/fro) China Ferry Terminal to your recommended hotel(s). After the 2 nights in Kowloon, we will return again to Macau for our onward flight back to Kuala LUmpur (Malaysia). But we will stay a night in Macau.

Trust to hear helpful and good insights-hotels, must not miss sights, inexpensive eateries for our kind consideration.

Thank you very much.
