What kind of clothings should i bring along?

How will the weather in Kaohsiung in Mid of January, would it be coild enough there, that i should take warm clothes with me there,
Is there snow falling too in month of january?

Hey! I'm heading to Kaohsiung this weekend and will take the ferry to Chi Jing.

I heard the seafood is great there. Can anyone recommend a particulary restaurant? Also, is there anything else to do there besides eat?

Dear seasoned travellers,

Please kindly advice if there is a ferry route from Kaohsiung to Macau. The destination is really Hong Kong but I believe there is no direct ferry from Taiwan to Hong Kong; so Macau would be the closest city to connect to Hong Kong.

Am visiting Kaoshiung in Aug and was hoping to get some ideas of what there is to do in that area. Will be there for just over a week. Will be happy to travel to visit certain attractions.

Also can anyone tell me what the exchange rate is at the moment to UK/ Pounds sterling. am trying to get an idea of prices of things but everything is in Taiwan Dollars and I can't convert it.

We were planning on taking US dollars with us, but just wanted to check that they will be accepted everywhere. ie Shops, restaurants etc. Travel agent has said that they are accepted but just want top check.

And my final questions is about Homosexuality? Is this frowned upon by locals. Myself and my partner would like to be able to walk in the street holding hands, but if this would be disrespectful to the locals then we obviously would not.

Also when booking hotel rooms. Would it be accepted for us to book a double room?

If anyone can answer any of my questions I would really appreciate it.
