Mokp'o Travel Forum

Hi
Will be spending 4 weeks in Thailand around September October time and was thinking of breaking up my holiday by visiting Korea to watch the Grand Prix.

Have already found out the Yeongam circuit is located just outside of Mokpo and that there is a shuttle bus service between the two locations.

Planning to spend a few days in Seoul and then catch a train to Mokpo, stay for the duration of the Grand Prix and then return to Seoul for a few days before flying back to Bangkok.

Was wondering if anyone has been to the circuit before and has any useful info relating to it as can not seem to find an official website.

Specifically is it possible to buy tickets on the gate or better to book in advance?

Also in regard to accommodation, looking for a cheap place to stay, not really sure on the size of Mokpo or the popularity of the Grand Prix and would like to know if it would be recommended to try and book a hotel in advance or whether I should still be able to find a place easily enough on arrival during a busy time.
