Dear Haikou VT,

Can you recommend me a reliable Haikou travel agency or tour guide that can bring me to explore Haikou Shishan Volcanic Cluster Park? I want to take photos of Shishan's volcanic caves, Ma'anling crater and the ancient houses made of basalt. How do i get to Shishan Volcanic Cluster Park if no one helped me?

I will be in Haikou on June 26 afternoon to June 28 morning, coming from Sanya. Flying off to Shenzhen from Haikou on June 28 by Shandong Airlines. I only have half a day for exploring Shishan.

The owner of Hainan Youth Hostel informed me that there is no more bus service from Haikou East Bus Station to Sanya. Then where should i board a bus for land travel to Sanya? Please advise me. Thank you.

what would be the likely activities to undertake for about five days. we are not so much into sun n sand but love to explore the culture and history of our destination.

I read the web-site of Meilan International Airport about the taxi-drivers of Haikou. Is it true that the Haikou taxi-drivers like to bully tourists that have have just landed in Meilan Airport ? Many domestic Chinese tourists complain that Haikou taxi-drivers are very rude and like to pester tourists. Is it true ?

Hi, Im hoping to visit Hainan next summer 2007. I plan to stay at the Crowne Plaza Spa at Haikou. Can anybody advise me on local attractions,weather and car hire. How far is it to Sanya from Haikou.

Is there any cheap guesthouse in Haikou and Shenzhen ? How much do they cost ? Where to find them ? Are they as cheap as guesthouses in Medan and Bangkok ?

I was in Hainan in 1999 and the 'scene' was very busy, somewhat like Pattaya in Thailand. Is it still active?
