Harbin Good Luck to Everyone in Harbin
Posted: Wed November 23, 2005 10:14 PM UTC
We just got the news in America, that Harbin is having a pollution crisis, and that there is no running water.

I can't imagine what it must be like, especially during the cold season.

Good luck, pengyoumen, we in America think of you. I hope you get your water back very soon.

Harbin What is it like in late Jan 06?
Posted: Mon November 14, 2005 04:57 AM UTC
Hi, fellow travellers,

Tried getting tips on Harbin and Heilongjiang on this website, but found very little information. We are thinking of adventuring to Harbin in late Jan 06. Would you kindly tell me:
(a) whether we could experience snow fall in the city?
(b) what are the places of interest?
(c) what recommendations for a `warm-blooded' person (I live in the tropics)?
Thank you in advance. Thank you.

Harbin when does the ice&snow festival finish?
Posted: Fri January 14, 2005 04:09 AM UTC
Hi all,
I am looking at going to Harbin during the second half of Feb, but are the ice sculptures still there?
I will only be in China for the remainder of this year, so if I want to see it (which I do) I figure I should do it soon:-)
If you have any tips on other things to see and do while there, please let me know. Also info on accommodation would be highly appreciated!

Harbin UNIT731 museum
Posted: Sun December 26, 2004 02:35 PM UTC
Ni Hao Pengyoumen:

I am going to visit UNIT731 museum on January 10 or 11, 2005.

I have important questions from American-Chinese professors for staff at UNIT731 museum.

My question is:
Can I expect someone at UNIT731 museum to speak English?

and, if not,

What is the best way to find an English student to accompany me? Should I go to Heilongjiang University?

Thank you.

Does somebody know where the Ice rink/Stadium (Hockey and figure Skating) is located in Harbin in order to find out which hotel is close to its location??

All is urgent, I tried to get in touch with somebody who declares to stay in harbin, but I didn't get any answer

Harbin Harbin end of January
Posted: Wed November 26, 2003 11:54 AM UTC
I will be in Beijing from Jan. 28 for three weeks. I am planning trips to Xi'an and perhaps Lhasa. I wonder if a flight to Harbin for one or two days to see the Lantern Festival is worth the money. When would be the best date? What else of interest is there to see there? Is one day enough? Thanks.

Harbin Snow fall
Posted: Wed October 9, 2002 03:32 AM UTC
When does snow usually start falling in Harbin? I'm planning a trip there in Dec 2002 and hope to see real snow (especially my 7 year old son). We are not able to travel in Jan/Feb because his school term will start then.
