Best way to reach Longyan

Hi,

I have never been to China except Tibet. I want to come to Longyan to meet a friend and his family. What's the best way to reach Longyan. I might first come to Beijing or Chengdu. I need helpful information on train service from these two places to Longyan. How far, how long the journey and is it helpful, etc. I can't speak Chinse is that a problem. Thank you.

Bus from Longyan to Ganzhou

Are there any bus from Longyan to Ganzhou in Jiangxi available. What 's about the bus timetable. If available , do it faster than train? The train normally use 4-5 hours.

Longyan to Kunming

I plan to go from Longyan to Kunming on 30th may.
I checked : K231 train ; leaves 21:43 and arrive 08:47 ( not stated the next day or next next day)
I reckon it is around 36 hours.
Soft sleeper around 650rmb.
Has anyone done this before ? Comfortable ? Clean ?
Other suggestions ?
