Nantes Renting international cell phone in Nantes or Paris CDG
Posted: Sun June 11, 2006 11:54 PM UTC
I'm thinking of renting a cell phone while I'm in Nantes in order to keep up with some family things going on at home that I need to pay attention to. Is there a kiosk in the Paris airport that I could do this at, or a storefront in Nantes? I've tried checking with Vodafone by email and on their website, but haven't been able to get a straight answer. Perhaps Vodafone isn't my answer, in which case what phone company should I be looking for?

Thanks!

Nantes Things to do in and around Nantes
Posted: Sun June 11, 2006 11:50 PM UTC
I'll be in Nantes June 15-June 23 for some work meetings at the University, and I'll have some free time during the weekend. If a person had only one day to see/do things in Nantes, what would be your top suggestions?

I'm not much of a wine drinker (so I'm afraid vineyards would be wasted on me), but I do like to visit historical sites and museums.

Thanks!

Karen :)

Nantes Getting from Paris Airport to Nantes
Posted: Sat May 13, 2006 09:44 AM UTC
What's the best way to get from CDG to Nantes? I wanted to fly, but have heard horror stories about the Air France flights being very unreliable in both directions, people missing their connections because AF cancelled flights, etc.

Folks have suggested taking the high speed train (which I really didn't want to do with all my luggage), but thought I'd ask anyway if there is a train station right in the Paris airport, or do I need to go look for it, and do I need a reservation ahead of time?

Any pros and cons of train vs flying? Also, is there a train schedule online? I haven't been able to find one yet (although I also haven't given up looking for it).

I'll be there on a business trip June 14-24, and am looking forward to seeing the sights in and around the city!

Nantes How do I find cheap accommodation in Nantes?
Posted: Thu July 15, 2004 06:59 PM UTC
I will be helping out with teaching English in a secondary school in Nantes from 1 October 2004-end of April 2005. At the moment I don't know the exact area of Nantes that I will be working in - but does anyone know how I can find some cheap accommodation somewhere relatively central? I will be arriving around the middle/end of September and most likely staying until mid-may or maybe longer.

I would appreciate it if anybody could help me out with this.

Thanks
