I'm planning to get the Macau-Shenzhen ferry and will be arriving near midnight. Will immigration still be open at those hours? Do they process visa there as in LoWu or do I need to get a Chinese visa before I travel? I can't book my hotel room unless I know could get through immigration at night.

I'll be travelling with my family so it would be very inconvenient if I get stranded at the ferry terminal.

hi, i am travelling to shenzhen during june 08. will appreciate it if anyone can share their experience on some of my questions belows:-

1)has anyone stayed in Guang Shen Hotel or Shansui Trends Hotel in Luohu District before?

2)is the room pleasant enough to stay?

3)is both the hotels in strategic location (ie, convenient to travel to hongkong and is it in the shopping district)?

3)how far is the hotel to the windows of the world?

and lastly, i am travelling from macau to shenzhen via shekou ferry terminal. do i need to get a visa and where can i get it? i m from malaysia.

I've plan for a day trip from Hong Kong to Shenzhen to visit Windows of The World.

(a) Can anyone tell me is it possible for a day trip to Shenzhen?
(b) The best way (fast & cheap) to Shenzhen from Hong Kong either by train or ferry?
(c) Besides Windows of The World, where else can i go in 1 day trip?
(d) Is it okay for non-mandarin speaking (english) getting around in Shenzhen?
(e) If getting around Shenzhen by subway (Metro train)cheaper compare to bus?
(f) Is there any Metro Station near to Railway Station (HK-Shenzhen) or ferry terminal in Shenzhen(HK-Shenzhen)?

Hi, anyone could share their experience on the following mode of access to Shenzhen Days Inn. I will be travelling with a family of 4 ,each with a luggage.

Option 1:
1. HKIA T2 - Airbus A43 - Sheung Shui KCR - Lowu Border - SZ Metro

Option 2:
2. HKIA T2 - Mainland Coach - Hunggang Border - ( Direct to Hotel? )

Its hard to decide for me. A first timer there. Option 2 costs about 3 times more than the first. Any review on either routes?

I am not sure why but my friend who lives in shenzhen wants to travel to united states but does not have a passport and does not know where to go or What to do to get a chinese passport/visa. WHAT SHOULD SHE DO!!!

I found this hotel on some website and wondering if anyone knows exactly the location of this hotel. The price seems good but I would prefer to stay around Dongmen area.

I have read how some travellers ship their shopping back home. What i would like to know is if a buy heaps of different items bags,jewellery clothes do i have to pay custom on them if i go back into hong kong then to Australia with them in my luggage?

I have already booked my flight from shenzhen to Guiln but I have only 3 hours once I get into HK airport to get to Shenzhen airport. I have always taken the overland border corssing coach but sometimes it takes a while. Is the ferry to shekou port fast? It says on the website u dont need to go through immigration if you take the ferry but I will need to go through surely to arrivals to get my bags.

I will be arriving from HK Airport on the mainland coach to Shenzhen in July.
However, the coach only stops at selected hotel in Lowu, ( Felicity, New Times, Panglin, Century Plaza & Shangrila ). They are away from Dongmen and sort of expensive.

I am looking to stay 1N in Shenzhen, preferbly Dongmen area instead ( first choice being DAYS INN) but the coach does not stop there.

Please suggest what should I do........pls help ............

Cheapest way to get from HK Airport Terminal 2 to Shenzhen Luowu (Days Inn Hotel).

A21 and transfer to KCR at Hung Hom or

Mainland Cross-border Coach straight from HK Airport ( but is the bus clean, safe and goes directly to my hotel? ) or

Airport Express and then ....?

We arrive at Shenzhen airport at 23.30 and we leave the next day at 08.05. We were wondering if it is possible to stay at the airport overnight and sleep on a bench, as we are on a budget.

I read somewhere that the area between Shen Nan Zhong Lu and Bin He Lu has an abundance of budget accommodation. Is this area within walking distance from the Luo Ho border? If not, which subway stop (and even which exit, if known) will be closest to the area of interest?

We are planning to catch a ferry (Turbo jet) from Shenzhen to HK on the 14th January. There are 4 of us so we would like to make sure that we will get the tickets on the time we want. However, I can not find any information or website that directs me to the ADvance ticket purchase.

Hi friends...I will fly to shenzhen very soon and would like to get some informations on shuttle buses from shenzhen airport to shekou port as I would be taking ferry from the port to kowloon and such buses is located at what floor of the airport and how much does it cost. Thank you
