If you have several tips in a category, say To Do, for a location, how can you make a link to just a single tip in the list? How can you find the web address?

When I move a tip to another page the number of pictures that illustrate it is reduced. So, for instance, if there were 5 pictures all of them will show but they will count as one. Does anybody know if there is a way of changing this?

I notice that there are quite a few questions in the travel forum, asking "How will the weather in XXX be in nnn months times?" Maybe VT should come to some sort of arrangement with a weather organisation, for them to become the "preferred weather supplier", and stick buttons on the pages. My choice would be www.wunderground.com

Why, on the member maps, is Austraia just one country but USA 50 and Canada several as well?

My sister has been complaining of not receiving emails.

Yet I have replied twice to one of hers - then sent her a new one - to @aapt.com.au

she rang our mother and said her address was @aapt.net.au

so I sent 2 emails - one to com.au and one to net.au

she replied to one - that looked as if it was from com.au and said - that it was net.au

how can that happen?

I'm currently using AVG Version 7.5 (free version) as my anti-virus software, however it's asking me to upgrade to version 8.0 and wants me to pay for it. Is there another good, and more importantly, FREE program that I can download for virus protection? I've got Vista on my computer if that makes any difference.

Is there a Youth Hostels near Leiden University?

I'm working on updating my VT travel pages after a long trip to the middle east.

I an wondering if I could work on them but not make then public until I'm finished. For example, I just add a tip, but I need to find the best pictures for the tips. So now, I have some tips with no pictures.

I would like not to make the tip or page public until I'm finishes. Like adding pictures. Is that possible?

I added Andorra to my travel pages thinking that I would start saving information on a place I am interested in going to...not realizing it would appear that I had already gone there...so how do I remove that from my list?

Windows tells me to download the SP3 Servicepack. Looks like a major update (up to 305 MB). It says 'it should not' change any functionality.
However, I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with it yet or encountered problems after installing?

When I upload photos lately they are black - can't see anything at all. I've never had this problem before. I've uploaded photos successfully in the past - as recently as a couple of days ago. My pictures are within the dimensions VT asks us to make them - I don't know what the problem is.

Anyone have any ideas?

I know its possible because Ive been told but I cant seem to figure out how to put up more the 3 pics per country. Hayyyyyylp!

This isn't a question, just an observation. The listing for Sosua, Dominican Republic, has an incorrect accent mark on the 'u'. It should go from upper right down to lower left, not as it is now, from upper left down to lower right.

Have they gone forever or is it just a glitch?

I admit, I'm loath to respond to new VTr's Destination questions when I see they just joined that day. I feel so used. They ask, We answer, They never come back. Blech!

I know there is STILL merit to answering their question: the next person who has a similar question, should they research the forum first, could find the answer already there for them.

But here is a thought. Not unlike Craigslist, could VT give members the OPTION to be emailed to their personal email account a "notice: you've received a response to your question".

A) They will see that VT'rs are a caring lot and respond to people's questions
B) Might encourage new folks to log back on!

Please note I said OPTION. It doesn't have to be an all the time thing for all forums... Maybe just Destination Forums... and give them the option.

I've been noticing a new and extremely annoying "pop-under" ad from the infamous questionmarket.com. It seems only to manifest itself when I visit VT. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Hi, I had a rookie ranking of 800 something, now its gone. It says unranked like it did when I first started on the site. Whats going on?

In the last few days, I have noticed that occasionally (more than once per login), that when I click on the Travel or Misc Forum, that the page loads enough for the top of the page to display, but the scroll bar on the right never changes (it starts out as almost completely taking up the available space) to very small to allow me to scroll down the page. That is, it's acting like the browser doesn't know that the rest of the page is there.

When this happens (which is the minority of the time, as I said), if I do a refresh in the browser, nothing changes...but so far, when I switched to the other forum (like to Misc from Travel), the new forum displays fine, then when I switch back, the old forum displays fine, too.

Anybody else notice this, or is it just (bleat bleat) me?

I'm asking this, as in the "other" forum, I used to write, some severe incidents happened - worse than during the famous VT September some time ago. And I believe that someone is very much misusing the moderator features there.
The forum is based on vBulletin:
http://www.vbulletin.com/ - the German version though. It is version 3.6.8.
I would like to know if someone on VT has experience with this software on admin or moderator level to verify or disprove my a.m. thoughts.

Ummm, my mail doesn't work. It just doesn't and it takes a long time to do, or not do that.

i keep receiving this tiny little pop up window in my bottom right hand of my screen whenever i am in any of the VT forums. i noticed that it started yesterday. it is also happening whether i am home or at work.

does someone know what this is for any why it is telling me not to close the window?

is this a VT thing or did i screw myself on both home and work computers somehow?

am just curious why it is only when i am accessing the VT forums is it appearing?

Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone can help me with this problem, even though it's not VT related. I've got a Sony DVD player and when I recently tried playing a DVD it showed up in black and white on my TV instead of colour. My TV is ok and so are the DVDs as I tried them on a different DVD player. Thanks! Anne

I have 5 pages of sent emails starting Nov 2007. (previous are deleted, but I didn't notice when).
I want to ask:
1. How often they delete Sent Emails.
2. Can I save all sent emails COLLECTIVELY to my SaveBox or any other database format or I have to save the mails one by one using Save button.

I just got an Acer Travelmate 4729 with operating system of Windows Vista but downgraded to Windows XP. My problem is,

how can i edit my writig after it's been postd? made a huge mistake and don't know how to correct it.

I was looking at the Canon G9 the other day. It seems to have most of the flexibility of an SLR without the bulk. It is 12 megapixels with a 6x zoom. It might be a good option when traveling. Does anyone have any experience with this camera?

I believe VT staff were rating hotel tips as they were posted. However, with staff busy working on all the new VT features, this was interrupted. Has VT returned to reviewing hotel tips?
