| Odense | London to Odense Flights Posted: Fri September 10, 2004 09:33 PM UTC
I have not been to Odense before but would like to go for a short trip, maybe 2 or 3 days, just to get a flavour of the place and meet up with some friends.
Would anybody know if it is possible to fly direct to Odense Airport from London at the start of October. I am looking at cheap RyanAir / EasyJet type flights not business class. If I can't fly cheaply direct, which Danish airport would be the easiest and quickest to go to, assuming that I am going to take the train the rest of the way to Odense. I am wondering also about the feasibility of going to Copenhagen with EasyJet and then catching a very short local flight with someone like Mærsk. Any suggestions ? |

Hi,
the best way is to fly to Billund airport and then take a bus to Odense. the bus is around 1.30h and stays just in front of the airport when you arrive in Billund. really easy to find. it will be cheaper than to go to Copenhagen and train to Odense. Odense airport doesnt work much now. You can get cheap tickets on Opodo, flight and bus included. HTH Fabienne

Thanks for the information guys - I checked out both those options and I guess if I were coming for a little longer than 2 or 3 days I would no doubt go for it,
However, as the whole idea was just to attend a VT / Meetup Meeting, I reckon the cost and the length of time it takes to get there and make make it a bit of a non-starter. I dare say it would be cheaper if I had had the good sense to book a bit more in advance. Claus - I have been following your progress in your VT díary - sounds like you are having a great time. I was sorry to hear about your accident though - sounds very painful but I guess it could have been a lot worse. I hope to catch up with you in Copenhagen for a beer or 8 sometime in the new year. Hopefully we can get Charlotta to join us this time too. Regards Míke

I guess it doesn't change the feasability much, but another option is to fly with Ryan Air to Esbjerg and take the train from there. Odense is about midway between Esbjerg and Copenhagen
