Where to spend a night in Pristina ?
Posted: Fri September 10, 2004 04:01 PM UTC
Hi,
i plan to spend this weekend in Pristina, but i haven't got the time to organize anything.
Could somebody reccommend me a place with a good spirit , to spend a night? (doesn't need to be an expensive one)
I'm a foreigner is Serbia, and i plan to go to Kosovo with my serb-plated company car. Is it dangerous?

Merdita to all! ;o)
(One thing I don't agree with PRASNJAVI is that Serbian is the only (official) language in Serbia!)

Yes, yes! I'm sorry for that info about Decani. I didn't hear it on the Serbian News. ‘Cause Serbian News (except for one TV station) doesn’t give any info about life in Kosovo (probably instructions from "above", or better say outside), they just report new killings and attacks. I got it from some other source just during this forum, and the correct information is that Italian soldiers guarded Decani Monastery in the WW II, so they were killed by the Albanian groups that wanted to destroy the Monastery 60 years ago. Italians guard the monastery now days too and have been under many attacks during these last 5 years. That’s probably why there was a mix-up. My mistake was for not checking the info twice, but the source (again, not coming from Serbia) said it like that, and when I checked it with an Italian that holds records of Italian casualties through the years, he gave me the correct information.

Once again, it's not who the land belongs to, it's if all the people can live freely on the land.
Milosevic was stupid for many reasons, and under his rule YOU and I too had to fight him.
But if Milosevic was that stupid and Albanians living in Serbia had to bring to life the old saying “For mercy we ask with our open palm, but for freedom with the closed fist”, should that be the case on the territory under UN administration too.
And if that is the case (if people don’t have the freedom to move, work, to go to church), then what do you think Serbs in Kosovo and the ones in the rest of the Serbia should do now? Should we make our fist once again? No one wants that.
And if we add to that the fact that educated people as yourself, that know how to use the Internet, speak like you did of another nation, then how smarter and in any other way different than Milosevic (as a paradigm of something you were against) are you.
People are good or bad, no meter under what flag they hide them selves.

For anyone that needs any info about the name or (digest) history of Kosovo region, you may visit this site
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Kosovo
You may find it very thorough and independent (written with NPOV). Based on scientific researches and giving all angles to the (hi)story.

Plus the site is very useful for anything else you might be interested for, just like any other good Encyclopaedia. ;o)

For Serbian Orthodox Church site on Kosovo and it’s today’s position visit www.kosovo.com
