Hi there,

I never was in Bulgaria, but I am just back from Croatia and I loved it. I was there with my sister and her family and we all enjoyed it very much. Her kids are big boys now, but there were lots of family with small children.

There is lots to see and do. Just keep in mind that the beaches are mainly pepple beaches ( not sand), which we all prefer in my family as we all snorkel. But I am not sure if you prefer sandy beaches with the small kids.

There are, of course, sandy beaches in Croatia too, but it depends where you're going. I haven't been to the Bulgarian coast, but I've been to Sofia & as much as it was great, it's such a big & busy city. Considering the kids, I'd suggest a smaller place (maybe even on an island) in Croatia. You'll have better chances of taking it easy & you have so many great things to see. June is pretty busy, but all in all I'd say Croatia's a better option. There are a lot of charter flight to Split & Dubrovnik during summer months, so I guess that's a plus too.
