Beijing Travel Forum

We have just attended the Athens Olympics, we are now considering attending the Beijing Olympics, can anyone recommend accomodation for a party of 4 - 6 people, within easy reach of the Stadium where the Athletics are to be held. We realise we have four years, but that time will help us save up !!! thanks

It's really too long to plan or book anything in China 4 years in advance. Within 4 years, Beijing will change a lot also. So stay tuned and just plan couple months ago.

Thank you for reply, i have been left to do the work of finding as much information as i can about accomodation, travel, etc to Beijing, I went with a friend to Athens, and found to my cost that not booking early was a mistake, all hotels were fully booked, so i do not want to make the same mistake. Also will try to find an apartment to rent for maybe a week. i know a lot of things can happen in the next four years.

hello Brian! Just want to say that you are not too early with your bookingplans! I booked hotel allready for 2 years ago.The thing is that i think you may call or visit the hotell untill 2008 for sure. I know that me and you are definitly not the only ones who allreaydy booked../Jarmo

Do you think new hotels will be built ??
when we tried to book hotel for athens, every single one of them had been booked well in advance by the olympic committee, some rooms were left, scattered about but these were very expensive, something like 400 euro's a night, when you take into account the number of teams in the olympics plus their entourage, doesn't leave a lot of rooms left.
