You can buy a ticket from CDG Airport to Gare Montparnasse
Take the Train RER (look at my VT pages). Then Montparnasse to Rennes. Rennes is a nice big town Good restaurants (many styles of crepes). Good universities.

Hi,
Make sure you arrive to CDG airport. From there you can take the Air France bus to Montparnasse station. They run every 15 mn from 5.45 AM until 11 PM (about 13 euros R/T). You are very right.
The Air France Bus is the best option from CDG to Montparnasse, mostly with luggages !

You can take the TGV train from CDG - and pay some more but that's because of the convenience. At CDG, go to the SNCF office (I think there is one there) or check it out on the SNCF website. Anyone at a SNCF will help you if you are clear in saying you want to take the train from CDG. I did just that.
