| Sirmione | Hotel in Sirmione Posted: Wed August 25, 2004 02:32 PM UTC
Has anyone seen or stayed at the Hotel Broglia in Sirmione? We have booked the hotel over the net but I would love it if anyone would volunteer a first hand eyewitness account of their experience or observations.
Also, any good, inexpensive restaurants to recommend? |

My wife and I stayed there for 10 days last year, the staff were helpfull, the rooms comfortable but not affording any lake views, breakfast was standard fare for an Italian hotel, when we were there (july) the air conditioning was not working.
All in all it was OK but maybe slightly overpriced. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Head for the beach bar/restaurant through the park in Sirmione 10 - 15 mins walk, the hotel staff will be able to guide you, it is very reasonable. The bars at the ferry teminal are expensive so watch out! Advise trip to Bardolino. Hope this helps, Regards, Billy
