Hi,
I didnt see any tips on accomodation in Guanajuato. Are there any hostels there? Are they near the bus station? Would appreciate all info like prices, location, etc. Thanks. |

Hi,
There used to be a really cool hotel a couple of blocks from the center of town that was delightful yet really inexpensive. It was called Casa Kloster. It wasn't a hostel , but it had a hostel like atmosphere. By that I mean that there were plenty of seasoned, budget conscious travelers in a setting that encouraged socializing and exchanging travel stories and tips. It was owned and run by Senor Ruiz. I'm going back about 5-6 years , and he was not a young man. He said that his kids were not interested in running the place, so if he retired, he may have sold it. It's really worth checking out, though, it' was a delight to stay there. Gudwilla
