| Norfolk (County) | Camping in Norfolk Posted: Fri August 13, 2004 10:35 AM UTC
Have heard that Norfolk is stunning and would like to spend bank holiday camping somewhere in the Norfolk Broads...any recommendations as to places? I love going for long walks in country so would like somewhere picturesque...typical old English village type place...
Thanks very much |

Hello
I live on the Norfolk Broads and can recomend a village called Belton as a good place to camp and it has great walks and camp sites and you can visit Burgh Castle which is set over looking the river and you can walk along the river and there is a beautiful pub that overlooks the river too at Burgh Castle.Belton is about 7 miles from Great Yarmouth. This area has a countryside setting and is very scenic.

I will agree that the Broads are a really nice area, but I will also have to say that is the 1st time I've heard of anywhere in East Anglia described as "stunning"! Just stay north of the border with Suffolk- a dodgy bunch down there... As for Yarmouth... Gulp.

not on the broads, but stiffkey campsite in north norfolk is very nice, looks over a marsh/bird place and is close to Holkem, a fine beach
