La Ceiba Travel Forum

I'm travelling to Honduras in January and will spend a few days in La Ceiba. Any suggestions as to a good hotel / resort in La Ceiba? I would like to have access to the rafting venue, but also would like to tour the local area in relative ease.

There are many good inexpensive hotels in LaCieba.

Partenon Beach in the life district is good and about 25.00 a double. Hotel Paris at the main square is also good at 50.00+ a night.

Try rafting with Oscar. See my Honduras page for more details. He's also got a great place up the mountain that is only 10.00 a night if you raft with him.

It is beyond January, but CocoPando is a nice place. $30.00USD per night.

On the premisis is the iguana bar, which has great Conch Soupa, Lobster Diablo, and good drinks.

The best place to stay in La Ceiba, Honduras is a vacation rental villa I stayed in recently. AMAZING! This is the only way to do it in my opinion check out the listing for yourself. It was great sitting by on beach that we had private access to and the pool was great, plus we all were eating fresh fruit from the property.
