That's the beginning of spring, snow is unusual in the Blue Mountains even in winter. The mountains are not very high and are covered in trees - they're eucalypts, which are full of oil and give off the blue colour which gives the area its name.

It is unusual to have snow in the Blue Mountains but last weekend saw a few CM fall in the town centre.
So I guess you should keep in mind the possibility of snow especially with our crazy weather patterns.
Enjoy

hi hi
i was there last year ard end of sept.
well blue mountain is simply lovely.

trust me, you do not necessary need to book a day tour. Just hope onto the train at central railway (there's one at 9.04am i remembered) and it's a lovely and quiet 2 hr train ride up to katoomba from central sydney. I thoroughly enjoyed the train ride. can't really remember the cost, should be ard AUD12 or 11 single way.

I stayed over 1 night at katoomba at this great B&B, 156B&B and the host picked us up from the Katoomba train station.

You can just purchase the bus trolley tickets and hop on and off at your own wish.

You must visit Leura , this village is beautiful. When i was there, the trees, plants and flowers were in amazing colours

you may wish to bring along yr raincoat and some jacket cos it was pretty chilly when i was there. and it rained too. There was a big storm at night.

it's a pity i didn't manage to go to the other side to see the ....hmm...what was that..limestones....i can't rem. but i heard it's lovely too.
