I looking to do some short treks around Cordillera Blanca next year but I'm having a little difficultly finding any guide books with detailed descriptions of the treks in the area. I've used the Trail Blazer guides for treks in Nepal and loved them but I there doesn't appear to be one for this region. The Lonely Planet guide for the area seems to be a bit too light on details and maps to allow you to do much independent trekking.
