We are spending a week in Newfoundland in early September and planning our trip. So far, we are driving from St. John's up to L'Ance Aux Meadows stopping off at the parks etc. on the way.
I see that for $80 roundtrip we can take a ferry from St. Barbe,NL to Blanc Sablon,PQ across the Labrador Straits. Is it worth crossing the straits to say that we set foot in Labrador? Is there anything to see in a day in Labrador?
Actually, the ferry does go to Blanc Sablon in Quebec, but it is right at the border of Quebec and Labrador, so a couple of miles drive and we would be in Labrador.
I still have not found out if it is worth going to Labrador - even after asking CAA. Calling any Newfoundlanders!
