Miri Mulu National Park

Hi,
I would like to visit Mulu Park in August for 2-3 nights. Could anybody recommend accomodation there? The Royal Mulu Resort looks quite nice but is rather expensive.
Should I arrange Air Transport in advance or can I do it when I'm there?

the last time i visited mulu national park, i stayed at the park's rest house (govt.) it is basic but a nice neat place with a canteen. i suggest you check the site recommended by masionion and or contract a tour operator who can provide accommodation at the rest house. hey, if you do, you might as well see the shift changing of our national guard !

i strongly recommend you look for a trip where it caters a one way travel either to/from the park to miri by river. though it is a long journey, something like 7-8 hours inclusive of lunch break but i am sure you will enjoy the river ride through our tropican jungle. fly there will give you a chance to see the pinnacles on mount mulu.

at the park, you will get to visit the magnificent mulu cave, clear water cave, dear cave and its king's chamber. don't forget the bats feeding time in the evening, i think there are only 3 of such sites in the world.

i visited the park some years back, it was one of my best trip as it gave me a very strong feeling I am close to mother nature.

i am sure you will enjoy the trip to mulu, remember to capture the wonderful time and share with us here in vt.

selamat datang,

tk
