VT-Meeting
Posted: Sun August 1, 2004 02:21 PM UTC
Hi there!
Finally I am going to organize the promised VT-meeting in Aachen. I suggest a Saturday (and possibly the following Sunday we as well for those who'd like to stay) in September.
So please, those who are interested, would you tell me your availability on the 4th, 11th, 18th or 25th of September?
Once we have a set a date we can decide what exactly we can do, I have quite a few ideas already.
Hope to see you all here soon!

I would like to come but have several exams in September. In case I manage all the test well I might be able to come on Sept 25.
First two weeks in October would be better.

I might be back in the Netherlands between France and Romania between half and end of september. But i'm on a very tight budget. So what i'm actually trying to say is that i'm just bookmarking in case...

It would be fun to see you all though before i'm really off..

I'll have to work but you can stay as long as you want. If we decide to meet on 25th of September I might even be able to take a day off!

A VT meeting in Aachen! Great!

Basketball Season starts in late September, so for me the 4th or 11th would be better! But it's only an hour's drive from here, so I guess I'll come anyway, even if I can only pop in later the day.

It's great to see that so many of you are interested! I would say we wait till tomorrow or tuesday to decide for a date. For me it's the earlier the better, but let's see what the majority wants - I'm keeping score already :-)
Sandra, so you're really doing it?! GREAT!
Will be nice to meet you too, Sandy and Winfried (the ones I haven't met yet)!
Best,
Stef

Hi!

I would love to come. But I don´t know about the specific dates yet because of my job. And for me too basketball season starts in September and I don´t have a schedule yet. Just decide on a date and I will try to make it.

greetings,
Kai

Well, about Aachen, it's a great place - I spent lots of money at the "Nudeloper" inviting my team on my birthday -- still have the bill -- incredible how many cocktails 10 people can drink in 2 hours :-(

I'll miss the flatness of Breda, though. Aachen is quite hilly. And if you don't know yourself around, I find the inner city really really nasty for driving.

Last time I was there 2 weeks ago -- I was at a very nice bistro, very friendly waitress. I can't remember the name, but it was close to the Dom. I think the square was simply called "Hof". A small steep place with colums and a modern aluminium facade. Lots of steps, but also a steep ramp I could use.

we cannot come. the only saturday that we are free is the 18th september. but on the 19 jose is running the dam tot damloop. he runs from amsterdam to zaandam.
for all of you we know. we get another house end of october in zaandam. so we are very busy.
so that is why i did not update vt anymore and why we almost dont go to meetings.
we hope to go next year to vt meetings again.
hope you find a good date with good weather and have fun too.
bye

Hiya guys!!

Been a long time since I saw you all, so hopefully I will see you all again in Aachen. I'm going to Singapore this Wednesday and will spend around 4-6 weeks over there. Not in Singapore, but in SE-Asia. This means that both the 18th or 25th will be fine with me.

I'm probably in (thanks for the FW: Sabs :-)

The first weekend of September would not be the best for me, as I will have company, but any weekend after that.

Martin if you're coming to the meetign i sure should try to come too. You can fill me in on all the do's/dont's/tips/hints/andwhatso-ons. It depends mostly on when my lfit to Romania will be. I can take a plane/train ticket to Romania for around 300 euro or i can wait till someone i know has to go that way between half september and the beginning of october and not spend a dime. Though choice :-)

Hi,

brilliant idea, seems to attract lots of VTers!! For me the 25th would be best, the 4th and the 18th are quite problematic. Maren
