Sounds great. I know that when my friend and I went to Africa (we chose Botswana/Zimbabwe) I spent enormous amounts of time figuring out an itinerary and basically daydreaming about my trip and narrowing all the things down to what I could actually do timewise. Africa is that sort of an adventure. On the other hand, my family and I are going to Australia in December and while I'm excited, I don't think about it or have done much planning at all for it. For Botswana, I had to get shots, my passports updated, buy appropriate clothes for safaris, get malaria meds, keep up on the Zimbabwe uprisings, et cetera, et cetera. For Australia, I've just had to do the usual of figure out what parts to visit and what hotels to stay in.

Hi David,

I'm getting very excited (and jealous...) reading your itinerary. Pity I won't be able to make it back to East Africa so soon, but I'm sure you'll be having a great time, and I'm looking forward to your pics.

Birgit
