| Bastogne | Trains to Bastogne Posted: Fri July 16, 2004 01:20 AM UTC
Hi,
While I stay in Brussels, I would like to see something of the area where the WWII battle was fought near here, and perhaps a military cemetery. Can I get to there by train and be able to see anything from the station on foot? Are there tours to this area? I am not renting a car on this trip, so I am not able to see some things I would like if they are not accessable to trains. Should I go to Luxembourg? |

Hi,
Take the train to Luxembourg and get off at the station of Libramont. There take bus (TEC) to Bastogne. Am afraid different WWII sites are spread to far around the city and it might be difficult to cover all by foot. (e.g. the Mardasson is abt. 2 km out of city) Seems no public bus system available to visit those. However a Mr. Clam, phone + 32 477 764256 organises tours by car to visit the sites. Have a nice stay Best regards, Cappa
