I would appreciate any information, general or specific, about Stavropol. My son is going to teach there in September and we would like more information. Many thanks.

What exactly do you want to know? It is a regional center in Russia, population about 300 000, more than a day train ride from Moscow, you can probably find more general information just by typing "Stavropol" in Google. Though it technically is in North Caucausus, it is populated mainly by Russians and is not considered dangerous. This is also not the best place in Russia in the sense of attractions. It could help if your formulate more specific questions.

Hello!
I'm not agree with last coment. I'm Russian, i lived there long time. its lovely city, with very frendly people, this is city for students. There is a lots of foregne people who geting education, because it's not so expansive as in Moscow or St. Peterburg. You can ask what exactly do you wanna know about this city..........
