Can anyone give me any feedback regarding the "Surf Hotel"? I have never been to Hampton Beach, and looking for a place on the beach.

Thanks

Since I used to live so close to Hampton Beach but never really frequented it due to crowds, I'm not 100% sure of the exact location, but it is on the Strip (ocean blvd). The Hampton strip is one side buildings with hotels, food, cheap stuff to buy, etc, and one side parking and beach. So, to answer your question, the Surf Hotel is across the street from the beach. Hampton Beach has no hotels directly on the beach.

As the previous poster said, all hotels in Hampton are across the street from the beach. If you want to get a place directly on the beach, you'd have to go north to Rye and probably get a rental cottage. Best bet would be to contact a local realtor, though I suspect almost everything is booked for the season by now. I can't think of any hotels around there that are directly on the beach. Check out the listings at http://www.seacoastsleeps.com/. Good luck!

I remember the "Surf Hotel" being one of the better-kept motels along the strip. To be right on the sand, you need to rent. There are a couple of streets that run from the corner near the state beach, up to the sand. Locals refer to it as "The Island", b/c the streets are but a few separated by the strip, and against the sand. However, you'd need a realtor, or a pre-visit to find out about booking there.
