I am planning to do a lot of snorkeling during the cruise over this New Year.
Please recommend best beaches for snorkeling near the cruise ship port.
Places I am visiting: Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia, St Martin, St Thomas.

To answer your question of snorkeling in St. Lucia, the best place is Anse Chasnet. It's not close to the ships port but you still have enough time to go, relax and snorkel and get back to the boat in time. Hmm...not pity from this end...just envy. Most anywhere within a short walk from the dock, BUT, on St. Thomas, I'd take the shuttle over to St. Johns; If there are no storms off shore, the clarity should be great.

On Barbados, if you port where I did, there's not much close by, but instead take in the caves. Interesting underground tour if you like that sort of thing.

I'd take the shuttle from St. Thomas to St. John's. There is a wonderful bay that has emense amounts of sea life. Just watch out for the fire coral.
