Im flying to Ibiza from the New Coventry Airport in a couple of weeks.
Anyone been from there yet?
Whats the facilities, parking etc like?

Have they got a runway or do they just shut the motorway when a plane takes off lol!

Haven't been yet, but the buildings are sort of pre-fabs. There's a place to buy food and a shop, I think. Don't know about parking, but there's a link on their website so it must exist!

They use the M69 to guide them in (I know, because they go right over us) but I don't think they actually use it as a runway! :-)

I know a couple of months ago I heard it was a bit hit and miss as to whether everything would be ready for the summer season. Thought we might end up in Skeggy:)

This is probably too late but, we used Coventry Airport last week highy recomend it. There is a small departure area, none of your usual shopping arcades. The only people that are there will be those waiting for your flight. Staff are really friendly and on return lugauge appears very quickly.
I didn't use teh parkign facilities, got a lift in but tehre is secure parking with free bus link to/from airport.
We would certainly use it again, saves the hastle for us of travelling into Birmingham or East Midlands.
Thompsonfly also allocate seats on checkin so there is no mad rush to the plane.
