Pse help. Am wanting to visit Greenland as a very special trip coming from South Africa, in December/January 04/05. Need to know how best to get there from Europe, CHEAPEST pse, and also what else to do in Greenland around the Ice Hotel area... prices if possible,and ideas, and obviously any good tips would be appreciated. Many thanks... Maybe I need to look into the Ice Hotel in Sweden... any sugestions which is best?

I think the cheapest may be via Air Greenland from Copenhagen. It's still rather pricey, but if you book it well in advance, it may not be too bad. If you're interested in the ice hotel, then you want to fly from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq.

You have to realize that day length is extremely short in Dec/Jan in Greenland, and there's little to do there (outdoors). Not to mention the cold, but that's manageable.
