Great!

Växjö is not Sweden's most exiting city but the student life is good and it is known for its many international students. I have only studied there one term (Environmental science) but already then (ten years ago) there was a strong organisation to welcome foreign students :-)

Maybe we can even meet sometime as my grandmother lives there so we go there several times a year to visit her.

Meanwhile, you can check my page on Växjö as well as the page on the entire county of Kronoberg (and other pages in the area) to see what there is to do and see.

Växjö also has direct train connections to Malmö and to Copenhagen several times a day and it is also easy to go to the historic cities of Kalmar (with its castle) and Karlskrona (World Heritage site) in the south east. Some of the towns here have friendship towns in the Baltic countries so you might have heard of them...

Växjö is a nice town and you are always welcome to see movies in Palladium there we show smaller movies.

Yes, how are you settling in? I've forgotten to ask you!

Palladium is a great tip! When I lived there it was "just" a cinema but now it's a good cafe too, and the cinema part has become a film club, showing better films - my cousin is one of the members :)
