Hi,
We took an organized trip to Hot Springs Cove, which was about 6-7 hours, and it cost approx $90.00. I think an organized tour may be your only option to get to the hot springs. We booked with Remote Passages, 71 Wharf Street (1-800-666-9833), and there was opportunity to see wild/sea life as well.

Hi,
I know you posted this question several months ago. Have you made it to the hot springs yet? If not let me know and I can give you some information. Rick

Not yet... it seemed the only way to go cost way more than I have...

If you check out my Tofino page I wrote a tip about visiting the hot springs.
When I was in Victoria I was staying at the HI Hostel. There was a shuttle that stopped by once or twice a day that transported people to Nainaimo and to Tofino. It wasn't cheap, something like $40 one way if I remember correctly. Anyway, once in Tofino then you still have to figure out how to get to the hot springs. Another option for getting to Tofino is by hitchhiking. This should be safe but might take a few days. With luck you could make it to Nainaimo in one day and then Tofino in another day. Good Luck. I'm pretty sure the only way to get to the Hot Springs is through a local boat tour (in Tofino) or by plane (booked from Tofino)
It is pretty pricy at $90.00, and if you want to splurge, make sure that it's worth it! Go when the springs are at their best, which is not during the Spring (due to spring run-off the water will be cooled). We went in the fall, and the water was really hot. We also made friends with the native guy who was running the boat and he gave us a sack of fresh fish that was caught that afternoon, and we saw a killer whale. The boat that you go in is small; we experienced rough seas and just about everyone was a little green. Looking back it was a good experience, but since I've been once, I wouldn't return. It wasn't a hugely fantastic experience.

nothing new to add, just hope it's a nice day! I went in a pouring down rainstorm and it was kind of a bummer.
