I have two questions.
Can anyone tell me what bus/tram/motorway I need to take to get to Barcelona from Girona Airport?

There is a direct bus service for the passengers arriving on Girona Airport to Girona City as well as to Barcelona. The busses usually leaves after 30 mins of the plane's scheduled arrival time. The fare from Girona Airport to Girona city is 1.75 Euros one way per person and from Girona Airport to Barcelona city is 11 Euros one way and 19 Euros return.

What i did was following:

1. Arrive in Girona Airport.
2. Take a 3.3 Euro rtn bus ticket from Airport to Girona city.
3. The bus will bring u to the bus station which just next to the train station.
4. Take a one way train ticket for 5.85 Euros from Girona to Barcelona.

So in total you would have spent 1.75 + 5.85 = 7.6 Euros to arrive in Barcelona instead of a direct bus from Girona Airport to Barcelona for 11 Euros.

Unless you are a pauper, I am sorry to have to say that Pakistaniguy's advice is completely bonkers!
To save less than 4 euros he suggests that you leave the airport going away from Barcelona for a 20-30 minute bus journey, then catch a train (which is unlikely to time with your arrival at the station) to go back in the opposite direction.

Also, I think the train goes to Sants station in Barcelona which is probably quite a distance from your hotel, or whatever.
I shall stand corrected if it stops more centrally.
The bus has a much more convenient terminus for most people.

Dear Colins

It depends on travellers budget. I can\t simply throw away 4 Euros when i have time and energy to save them. 5 to 6 Euros is my one times budget meal so why should i loose 4 Euros or approx. a little more.

I guess I have the luxury of not having to worry about a few euros when balanced against time and convenience.
I respect your ability to travel on a tight budget, which I did years ago.
