Any suggestions on the most scenic route from Nice (Monaco) to Lausanne (Villars)? We will be traveling in mid June by auto. Thank you.

You have three choice including two good ones.
1) autoroute to Aix-en -Provence, Avignon, Valence, etc... You will reach Lausanne entirely by autoroutes. Actually this not a bad choice, it is the fastest.
Pro : it is autoroute all the way
Con: it is autoroute all the way
In a nutshell : it's up to you

2) the ''route des grandes Alpes''

3) the ''route Napoleon''

4) the ''route des Alpes''
Same that ''route Napoleon'' but at Sisteron, leave Gap and the autoroute and go to Laragne, Aspre-sur-Buech, Serre, Grenoble. The one I prefer.
