Dear Travellers,
Guinea-Bissau used to produce beer in cans some years ago. The brands CICER and SAGRES were produced in Bissau, but not anymore. Have you ever seen a can of those brands? Does any of you know who could get one of those cans? Thanks, Andre, from Brazil |

Olá de Portugal You probably don´t expect a reply anymore. I just came across your question... I´m not sure about Cicer, but Sagres is definetely a portuguese beer brand, so you may get cans in Portugal. I´m sure you´ll easily find a friend or friend of a friend who lives here and can send you some. Um bom dia para você MFamily

Cicer stands for Companhia Indústrial de Cervejas e Refrigerantes. Sagres and Cicer were canned in 1974. Later Cicer cans were filled around 1980. The Sagres was filled in Guinea-Bissau under license. MF is clearly unclear on why a collector would want a Sagres can from Guinea-Bissau as opposed to a Sagres can from Portugal.
