Hi,
I lived from 1987 to 1998 in Zaragoza, so I know this area a little :-) But I have to leave as both my boyfriend and I found much better jobs in Madrid, and later in Barcelona. Maybe it have been different in other fields than Health Services and Pharmaceutical industry…. But you might know that main industrial areas in Spain are Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Valencia (not only and not in that particular order). Zaragoza is an industrial/services area, but not the main one by far. Getting a job, a relatively good one, it is not easy in Spain. I don’t know if there are many opportunities for a welder, but I would recommend you to find something before moving. You may try to improve it later, but it can take quite a long time to get something. Another point is, are you fluent in Spanish? Very few people speak English, and many employers will not want non-Spanish speaking employees. Good points of Zarazoza: size, location, and specially people and atmosphere! Bad points: price of housing has improved dramatically over past years… as many other Spanish areas. Good luck!
