Re: URGENT: Need Eze, France, help FAST! Posted: Fri June 4, 2004 07:56 AM UTC
It must be difficult writing a travel story on a location you have not been to and try to relate the feeling of the area on paper. As a reader, I enjoy articles written by journalists on the scene. As a wrilter, I enjoy giving my insights to what I have observed, felt, tasted, and went through on location. Yes, I can believe you still don't know about the transportation in Eze. But, I am here to help. Yes, there are many modes of transportation in Eze. Eze is both hilly and has the tourist destination of the Village on the Hill. Eze Village, a fortified rock village that is Eze to most people is most likely what you are looking for.You do park at the foot of stairs, just off the highway that runs by, with the perfume outlets across the street on flat land. The first thing you visit is the old cemetery just above the road. Then up and around by foot, to the shops, hotels, restaurants, and relics of the past. A view around every winding, climbing narrow rock walkway, with the little boutiques cut out of the rock. Yes, inside the grounds or up the hill is by foot only. A two star restaurant at the hotel Chateau De La Chevre D'Or has the best romantic views in my first hand opinion. Au revoir
