What is the best rout to Niagra falls through Canada, & how long does it take to get there?

Hello:
From Milwaukee, figure 2 hours driving time to Chicago, and 6 hours from Chicago to get to Detroit. From the Detroit area you are looking at taking either the Ambassador Bridge or the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel into Canada (which could take up to 1/2 an hour for border crossing and inspections), then another 3 hours driving to the Falls. In total, about 11 hours if you're lucky - or 12 if you get stuck in a traffic situation. Were you planning to drive this in one day?
