Strange. A simple search on the net gives plenty of results:

Official site
http://www.bastogne.be/

Tourist site
http://www.bastogne-tourisme.be/

History site
http://trabel.com/bastogne/bastogne-monuments.htm

btw...you'll be in the Belgian Ardennes, which is always nice.
Bastogne (Bastenaken) is an old town.

Thanks for the info. ATLC (Nice photo) I assure you I spent a lot of time and effort searching before placing the query. Certainly limited pictures available. If it's your home area sorry I'm so ignorant!!

hmmm, of course I didn't check out the recommended pages fully but there were pictures.
I only entered "Bastogne" to do an internet search so I was surprised that you didn't find any :-)

I have never been to Bastogne myself. In fact, I don't live in Belgium.

We toured the Battle of the Bulge area this past June. Bastogne is a smaller city with a Sherman tank and some monuments on the square. Also, there is a good museum on the outskirts. We did not spend the night there--we stayed in Trier and Aachen.
Malmedy, St. Vith, Houffalize, and Stavelot are Bulge sites without much to see regarding the battles. The best WWII museum in that area is at Diekirch, Luxembourg--about 20 miles north of Luxembourg City. General Patton is buried in the American cemetary on the outskirts of Lux. City.

I went to Bastonge last winter and the museum was closed. However I went to Diekirch and they have one of the best museums regarding the military that I have ever been to.

I am going back in May to see Normandy, but I will be making my way back to Bastonge and Diekirch. I plan on going to La Gleize as well. They have a Tiger tank up there that I want to see. On my last trip I stayed completely in Germany, so I don't know about accomodations.
