Yep Kay is right. That is the best time. Iceland is always expensive, but the prises never change no matter the season.

June is certainly a good time for Iceland, but is it the best ? It depends of what you are willing to do. If you stay on the coasts, it is perfectly OK. The waterfalls will be magnificient and daytime the longest. But if you want to go inland, to hike to the Ajka and the Viti for example, you might find that some rivers will be too high to pass them and find much snow. We thought it was better to go as early as possible (long day time) and we were there beginning on July 10th. In fact a lot of snow was melting and some fords were really hard to get through, because of the heights of the water. Only a few days before, it would have been impossible.
