I am 99.99% sure that there's a big maze in the back which I bet they'll enjoy. You can then go over to the outdoor restaurant in the back grounds for some ice cream. I am sure they'll also enjoy checking out the incredible fountains throughout the grounds.
Enjoy.

hi
took 4 girls aged between 5&9 last year! take a picnic to eat in the palace gardens!! cheaper than to buy food there and what a fab setting ...you may have to eat it lakeside. At the lake there are some pedalo boats for hire!! the older girls, we took, loved to take the headphone tour around the palace so I strongly recommend you let them have sets ....if you do and they don't ..well you can imagine!! the most important thing is theres plenty of area to run about and icecreams if its hot or they need bribing!! have fun...
