Textile shopping in Jordan

My wife and I are traveling to Jordan next week, and we are interested in finding some good quality traditional textiles and clothing. Does not necessarily need to be antique as long as it is handmade using traditional techniques. Is there a specific area, town, or market that anyone would recommend that would be good for this? Also, are there any really unique types of textiles in Jordan that I should try to find?

There is a good website run by a gal named Ruth which should help you find the answers to your questions as well as lots of other useful info.There also is a discussion board and she might be able to help you out. The addresss is www.jordanjubilee.com.
I am going to Jordan in September and I found the website very helpful in planning my trip.I hope this helps. Judi
