Hello guys,

Shall be staying in Dundee on business for a week starting from Sunday, 23 May. Wonder what are the major attractions there? I will stay in a hotel right in the centre of the city. Are there any popular pubs/bars/restaurants with reasonable prices?
How much a taxi costs from the airport to the city centre?
As I shall be arriving from London, where it is cheaper to do shopping for in Dundee or London?

Look forward to your reply.

Dunde is a lovely place, we just hosted the Radio 1 big weekend. The taxi from the airport to the centre should take about 2 minutes. There are lots of bars/restaurants/clubs. Try the Perth Road area, students will have gone home but there should still be plenty to do.

Hi there - disagree that Dundee is a dull place to be - just when you live in a city you tend to take it all for granted. the shopping is much better here now than it used to be and probably cheaper than London although not very many top designer names. For nightlife try to get down to Broughty Ferry one night espacially if its sunny, its less than 10 mins by bus or taxi and is full of lovely little pubs for eating and drinking. I would recommend the Old Anchor and The Ferry Inn and if you want to boogie a bit later on then head into Jollys if you are there at the weekend.
Major attractions are The Discovery which is in the harbour, a trip up the Law hill will let you see all the city, you can visit the Mills Observatory, your hotel will have plenty of booklets and coupons to let you know whats going on.
Enjoy your stay.
