| Ithaca | Cheap and good place to stay in Ithaca Posted: Sat May 8, 2004 08:57 AM UTC
I'm going to travel to Ithaca this summer via Hancock International Airport.
I will visit Cornell and Niagara Fall, can anyone recommend me a cheap and good place to stay in Ithaca? Also if anyone who have travelled internationally, do you know how to get a great deal air ticket? Thanks for your pieces of advice. Kaori |

Hi,
here is a link to Ithaca hotels and their price range: http://208.249.120.225/visitithaca/hotels_and_motels.htm I don't know whether you are looking for something cheap, or rather close to the town centre or campus. The Embassy Inn is pretty cheap. If you want central, you'd probably want something like the Holiday Inn. Then again, I find public transportation in Ithaca better than in many American towns. As regards the airfares - you're already doing the right thing - going to Syracuse airport. Sometimes there are great deals to Elmira/Corning airport or Binghamton airport. Both are close.I usually just book on STA travel or Expedia. I always get good deals from Amsterdam to Syracuse. When will you be in Ithaca?

If you will have a car, there are several places (Wonderland Motel, Econolodge) for around $50. You'll need transportation, however.
If not, some places right around Cornell are reasonable. Collegetown Motor Lodge 312 College Avenue, (800) 745-3542 or (607) 273-3542 For reservations by e-mail: office@c-town.com The Hillside Inn 518 Stewart Avenue, (607) 273-6864 or (607) 272-9507 Good luck and ENJOY! It's a beautiful area.
