Tokyo: We have no problems!!!!
Posted: Mon April 26, 2004 10:00 AM UTC
There is good news and a bad news. I am sure you want to hear the good one first: We will have Geisha coming to Edo. Yeah, yeah.. I know... Nothing strange! It is like saying bedouins coming to the desert, US mariners coming to Central America, or kids coming to school ( well, this one is not an universal truth yet). But look, this is a REAL GEISHA. That's why it is a good news.
Soノ it is going to be at the end of May. We will be more specific in 10-15 more posts following this thread. The night will start in the traditional yatai under the railways close to Yurakucho (Ginza Area)...The breakfast: Sashimi at the biggest fish market in the World: Tsukiji. For the between, fill the blank!!!!(-;

The bad news is that Tokyo's governor is a very well known rightist and his anti-communism is of the visceral kind. He has forbidden to take Tokyo "for assault" and, let alone, to paint the town in red!!! So there! We have to choose a different color to welcome Geisha_Girl to Edo.

PS: This forum was deleted from the miscellaneous. We do apologize in behalf of the deleting crew of VT.
PS2: If there is not a question they will delete again. Let's be formal and follow instructions. WILL YOU JOIN? (-;

Anyone else???

YES, I'M IN! (so keep the topic, please...)

We can meet somewhere in Ginza/Yurakucho area, G, after you've been gifted a new pair of shoes there.

I will touch o00o and Joanna.

- Weather: Just before the rainy season of June. It can be fine, hopefully.
- ATM: Yes, they are all around the mid-city.
- Romantic spot: Off the grond, in the air. On a helicopter, maybe. ....Or, Odaiba, Omote Sando, Nishi Azabu... Can't tell really.
- Safe!

Welcome you two and looking forward to see you all!

A romantic stop would be dinner on the outside terrace of La Casita (Roppongi Hills). Have them throw red rose pedals on you from them balkony when you enter (yes, they do that!), have a firework and let your love open the bottle of champagne with a japanese sword...

Thta's romantic movie scene... red blood with flying rose petals... plus a japanese sword and a big round sunset... Shiok!

BTW, I always amazed with Japanese new technology... would really love to see this "sexy bottle opener" scene, but dang, my purse lot much weight after USA trip...

Let me "insert" a comment here about the "opener". I've heard about the former technology in Brasil, but haven't heard about the latter in Japan. (-;

Hahahaha!!!

What a great party planner you have hired this time!!!

I want to stick with my early recommendation of "real Tokyoite life" in Yurakucho as starter. Even for sightseeing is ok. But I will have some yakitori anyways...!
Let's meet in front of Sony Building in Ginza (the classical meeting place for people of my age!) ) at 7:00 pm.
From there, by Hibiya line to Roppongi. Hesitating in between La Bodeguita (cuban cuisine + music) or
Thai Cuisine with a view. By Wednesday let me help with pro and cons.
Dance after dinnner. And Breakfast at Tsujiki after dance . And...

Summarizing:
May 21st @ 7:00 pm in front of Sony Building Ginza
(if you are not familiar with the place as for Sony Biru).
http://www.sonybuilding.jp/
you can print an access map from the above URL.

Cool. 7pm in front of Sony biru it is. As for dinner - are you talking about the Thai place where the girls need to strip in front of a glass window when going to the bathroom? The one we had our last VT-Meeting at? Apart from the toilet-excitement: I love the food there!

By the way, for some predictable (ad vomitum) technical troubles this forum on Tokyo and the life style, and night life in the metropolis is not being broadcasted to the VTer audience in the front page. Ergo, no chances for VTers that happen to be in Tokyo to join us.
