Nice - Barcelona

I've been emailed with the following query, can anyone help, many thanks, Lisa :

***We are five New Zealanders who need to leave Nice on 11 September 2004 for Barcelona. We would like to do this trip in daylight hours so we get to see something. We are having really big trouble trying to get information about transport between these two areas. Is it possible to bus between Nice and Barcelona?
Does Eurolines travel anywhere near Nice? If not, could you suggest the best route for rail? Please, please, help.***

I'm a kiwi & have travlled Nice- Barcelona by rail no problem. Progress is not fast but will allow you to do sightseeing. In fact I got off at Figueras for Rosas.
I travelled Eurail Flexipass & it was wonderful.
