Im trying to find out more about my family who comes from Venehjärvi. Can anyone tell me more about the Lesonens and their origin?

Hi,
All that I can help you is a Russian name of this place - Sudnozero. This is a translation from Karjala - Sudno - Veneh - Boat, and Ozero - Jarvi - Lake. On some maps there are two names mentioned.
